Federico Fiorio started singing in 2007 with the treble voice choir “I bambini di Bure”, conducted by Lucia Vallesi and later by Mariarosa Finotti; he also performed solo parts there. In 2019, he graduated with full marks and honorable mention in Baroque singing from the Conservatorio di Musica “F.A. Bonporti” in Trento studying with Lia Serafini. He also studied Baroque vocal and practice with Roberta lnvernizzi at the Baroque Academy of Pistoia.
In 2013, he recorded a CD Come voce antica risuonano fili di luce with the harpist Marina Bonetti. In 2013, he made his debut at the Teatro Ristori in Verona in the Baroque-like pasticcio Io, didone e le altre conducted by Silvano Perlini. In 2014, he performed in Arena di Verona with the Coro di Voci Bianche “Adamus” in Turandot and Carmina Burana. In 2015 and 2016, he played the role of Shepherd in Tosca, and of the First Child-spirit in The Magic Flute. In 2018, he played the role of Lidio in Zenobia by Albinoni with Fondazione Fenice in the Teatro Malibran, performed in Jove with La Capella Reial de Catalunya conducted by Jordi Savall. During the festival Urbino Musica Antica 2018, he made his debut in the role of the Guarding Angel in Emilio de Cavalieri’s Rappresentazione di Anima e Corpo conducted by Alessandro Quarta. The same year brought the title role in Antonio Lotti’s Polidoro in the Teatro Olimpico in Vicenza, the role of Lidio in the Teatro Mario Del Monaco in Treviso conducted by Francesco Erle. In 2019, he performed as Cloridoro in L’empio punito by Alessandro Melani conducted by Carlo Ipata. In 2020, he made his debut in the Teatro Torlonia in Rome performing as Zefiro in Alessandro Tradella’s Circe conducted by Andrea Di Carlo.
Federico Fiorio has sung at many festivals including Trento Musica Antica, Valletta Baroque Festival, Leonardo Vinci Festival, Urbino Musica Antica, Internationale Händel-Festspiele Göttingen and Pavia Barocca. He is a member of the following ensembles: Coro e Orchestra Ghislieri, Bonporti Antiqua Ensemble, De labyrintho.
