GRANDS CONCERTS: LE CONCERT DE LA LOGE / RESURRECTIO
Georg Friedrich Händel ’s La Resurrezione is an early work in which the young composer merged an operatic drama with the narrative structure of the oratorio, giving every gesture, aria, and chorus a significance that transcends words. Dialogues between characters, contrasts between subtle lyrical phrases and monumental choruses and carefully crafted harmonies create a story in which the triumph of the Resurrection intertwines with the drama of human experience. Le Concert de la Loge highlights the freshness and energy of Händel’s work, and emphasises that baroque oratorio is not merely a religious celebration but a space for reflection on the meaning of life, transience and hope. All the phrases, instrument parts and voices become carriers of meaning, where music tells more than words, and the listeners can experience the story on intellectual, emotional and spiritual levels. The work demonstrates that baroque narrative can offer both drama and meditation, and that sound, rhythm, and harmony create a perspective in which the sacred and humanity coexist, making the experience of music a space for reflection on transience, joy, and transcendence.
