STRINGS DAYS! MASTERCLASS: CHRISTOPHE COIN – VIOLA DA GAMBA
The masterclass with Christophe Coin is intended for all students of music learning to play the viola da gamba and seeking to develop their historically informed practice.
The masterclass will offer an opportunity to work intensively on the interpretation of the viola da gamba repertoire. The masterclass will be led by Christophe Coin, an outstanding gambist and cellist, a student of Nikolaus Harnoncourt and Jordi Savall, closely associated with Hespèrion XX, regularly invited to work with the most renowned early music ensembles, including Concentus Musicus Wien, the Academy of Ancient Music, and Il Giardino Armonico.
Let us also invite all those interested to attend the masterclasses as audience members. Observation of masters at work offers an excellent opportunity to deepen knowledge of historically informed performance, aesthetics, and interpretative approaches, and is accessible both to those within and beyond the academic community.
