graduated with honours from the harpsichord class of Professor Magdalena Myczka at the Academy of Music in Kraków. Later, also in his alma mater, he completed postgraduate studies in the harpsichord class of Professor Elżbieta Stefańska. Apart from that, he studied at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, in the harpsichord class of James Johnstone and in the singing class of Andrew Watts, where he obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Music Performance (PgDip) and a Master of Music Degree (MMus) with honours.

He also honed his vocal skills under Mhairi Lawson and Dame Emma Kirkby. As a vocalist, he has collaborated with many choirs (Polish Radio Choir), chamber ensembles, as well as orchestras and vocal ensembles specialising in the performance of early music, where he often performs solo parts. As a harpsichordist (a soloist, a chamber musician and a renowned basso continuo player), he has collaborated with many orchestras and chamber ensembles around the world. Andrzej Zawisza is a finalist of the Polish edition of the Orpheus International Vocal Competition commemorating the 400th anniversary of the premiere of Claudio Monteverdi’s Orpheus and a laureate of the first prize at the 8th Broadwood Harpsichord Competition in London (2005). He is also a laureate of the Creative Scholarship and the City of Kraków Award, as well as the Scholarship of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage in music. He is also a member of the Polish Early Music Society and the Bach Society in Krakow, as well as the founder and artistic director of the Estravaganza ensemble, with which he made a multimedia recording of Johann Sebastian Bach’s cantatas for the Japanese label IMC Music Publisher Ltd. In his alma mater, he is an assistant professor at the Chair of Early Music and collaborates with the Voice and Drama Faculty. In 2016, he received a doctorate in music arts as an instrumentalist. Since 2022, he has been the assistant artistic director of the Polish Radio Choir in Lusławice.
