Bartosz Izbicki
Musicologist and organist, student of Fr. Prof. Jerzy Pikulik and Marcel Pérès, interested in the tradition of Polish choral chant, liturgical monody and religious folk songs for more than 25 years.
Since 2002, he has been working as organist at the Basilica of St John the Baptist in Brochów, where Fryderyk Chopin was baptised. In 2013, he founded the Jerycho ensemble, which helps him bring his vision of early music – rooted in tradition while appealing to a contemporary audience – to life.
