Benoît Tainturier

Born in 1977, Benoît Tainturier studied trumpet at the Dijon Conservatory, then musicology at the University of Burgundy, as well as recorder, composition, counterpoint and chamber music at the Dijon and Chalon sur Saône conservatories. He then turned naturally to the cornet à bouquin, which he studied at the Conservatoire à rayonnement régional de Paris, where he obtained an advanced diploma in early music. Holder of a state diploma in early music, he headed the early music department at Conservatoire à rayonnement régional in Dijon for 15 years, before devoting himself to a career as a concert artist. Since 2020, he has also devoted himself to instrument making with Maître Delmas, having become his apprentice.

He regularly performs and records in France and abroad with ensembles such as Artaserse, Le Poème Harmonique, Le Banquet Céleste, Anima Aeterna, Les Épopées, Ricercar Consort, La Tempête, Le Galilei Consort, Concerto Italiano, Le Concert Spirituel, Les Arts Florissants, Ensemble Correspondances, Les Nouveaux Caractères, Oltremontano, Capilla Flamenca, B’Rock, Les Paladins, Ensemble Matheus, Maîtrise de la Cathédrale de Paris, Il Ballo, Marini consort, Ensemble Inégal, Nederlands Kamerkoor, Neue Düsseldorfer Hofmusik.
