Daniela Čermáková
Daniela Čermáková focused her attention on ensemble and chamber singing right from the beginning of her studies at the Brno Conservatory. After graduating from the conservatory in 1998, she began to study the interpretation of 16th-18th century music. She completed her studies in the theory and performance practice of early music at the Faculty of Arts of Masaryk University in Brno, and continued her university studies at the PFMU. Later, she expanded her interest to medieval music, and is also engaged in the interpretation of contemporary music.
She has lived in Prague since 2010. She is a permanent member of leading Czech early music ensembles: Collegium 1704, Tiburtina Ensemble, Cappella Mariana, and collaborates with many other ensembles of this focus, such as: Ensemble Inégal, Musica Florea, Collegium Marianum, Doulce Memoir, In Alto. As a soloist, she collaborates with, among others, the South Bohemian Philharmonic, the Brno Philharmonic, the Berg Orchestra, and the Hof-Musici ensemble.
She has performed at the leading Czech and international festivals such as: Prague Spring, Concentus Moraviae, St. Wenceslas Music Festival Ostrava, Lípa Musica, Summer Festival of Early Music, Resonanzen Wien, Uckermärkische Musikwochen, Festival de Sablé, Festival de la Chaise-Dieu, Festival de Musique Ancienne de Ribeauvillé, Festival van Vlaanderen Brugge, Festival d’Ambronnay, Muziekcentrum De Bijloke Gent, Oudemuziek Utrecht, Festival di Cremona Claudio Monteverdi, Salzburger Festspiele, Boston Early Music. She has participated in the production of more than 50 CD recordings.
In addition to her singing career, she works as a speaker and programme creator on the Czech Radio Vltava.
