Jeremie Papasergio
Originally from Monte Carlo, Jérémie Papasergio began his musical studies on the flute, recorder, transverse, bassoon and harpsichord, the choice of instruments that naturally led him towards early music. Passionate about instrumental diversity, he cultivates versatility in the manner of period musicians.
Together with Elsa Frank, he has an exceptional collection of instruments (flutes, oboes, bassoons, tournebouts, cromornes, cervelat, bassanello, flageolets, gazou, serpent, Russian bassoon, ophicleide) which he puts at the service of music. His repertoire extends from Josquin des Prés to Hector Berlioz.
Certified teacher in early music, he teaches at the conservatories in Tours, Aubervilliers, Paris and Caen. He has given master classes in Besançon, Rouen, Ambronay, Limoges, Strasbourg, Toulon, Nancy, Monte-Carlo, Paris, Milan, Geneva, Basel and Tokyo. He has held international training courses or academies in Lisieux, Uzes, Le Havre, Saarbrücken, Harlem, Karlsruhe, Gijon and Urbino.
A pillar of the Doulce Mémoire ensemble, he performes also with the Concert Spirituel, La Guilde des Mercenaries, Le Poème Harmonique, Les Ombres, L’Arpeggiata, Les Correspondances, Les musiciens de St Julien and the Les Ambassadeurs ~ La Grande Écurie.
He is one of the rare baroque musicians to have an international career as a solo musician and chamber musician.
His extensive discography comprises recordings with Hervé Niquet, Alexis Kossenko, Philippe Jaroussky, Christina Pluhar, Sigiswald Kuijken, Adrien Mabire, Jean-François Madeuf, Jean Tubéry. With his ensemble Syntagma Amici, he has recorded an exciting collection focused on variety of instruments for the Ricercar label, praised by the international press.
