Jerycho

Jerycho is a vocal ensemble employing a traditional manner of religious chant. The ensemble showcases historical Polish and Latin chants, incorporating improvised polyphony adapted by Bartosz Izbicki. In creating a new soundscape around the old repertoire, Jerycho embodies the vision of a vibrant Polish singing tradition cultivated up to the 19th century.

The ensemble began its musical activity in 2014 and has been actively involved in the music scene ever since by developing numerous projects, recording albums (eight to date) and touring, with more than 180 performances and concerts to date in Poland and abroad – in Czechia, Hungary, Lithuania, Austria, and Ireland. Since its inception, the ensemble has been steadily growing its following and fan base by releasing albums, playing live shows, as well as on-line activities. More than 10 000 people are following Jerycho on Facebook, and their YouTube channel crossed the mark of 1,5 million views in 2023.
