Alto/mezzo-soprano Kamila Mazalová comes from Ostrava, where she started her studies at the Janáček Conservatory. She graduated from the Institute for Art Studies at the University of Ostrava, where she specialised in solo singing, in both cases in the class of Doc. Drahomíra Míčková.

Currently, she is a member of Prague-based ensemble Collegium 1704 under the artistic direction of Václav Luks. She is also a member of the Tiburtina Ensemble, which, under the direction of Barbora Kabátková, focuses on the interpretation of medieval music, especially Gregorian chant. As a soloist of these ensembles, she has performed at prestigious festivals in the Czech Republic and Europe.

In collaboration with Monika Knoblochová (harpsichord, fortepiano), she performs songs from the Classicist and early Romantic period (Václav Jan Křtitel Tomášek, Leopold Koželuh, Joseph Haydn). In 2014, together they recorded a CD of songs of Tomášek for Czech Radio.

She collaborates with Ensemble Phoenix Munich (Joel Frederiksen) and Musica Aeterna (Peter Zajíček) as well.
