Léa Trommenschlager trained at the Conservatoire à rayonnement régional de Strasbourg and at the Hanns Eisler Musikhochschule in Berlin. In 2011, she was a laureate of the Académie du Festival d’Aix-en-Provence.

The same year, she began an intense collaboration with Maxime Pascal and Le Balcon, an ensemble that brings composers from all centuries into dialogue with the present and creates works by contemporary composers. Léa is part of the LICHT adventure, singing multiple roles in the operas of Karl Stockhausen’s cycle at the Philharmonie de Paris, Opéra de Lille and Opéra-Comique. She is also one of the faithful interpreters of the operas of composer Arthur Lavandier.

On the operatic stage, she has worked with directors such as David Marton, Benjamin Lazar, Jean Bellorini, Jacques Osinski, Silvia Costa and Ted Huffman.

In the mélodies and Lied repertoires, which she particularly enjoys, one can note the recording of Schumann’s Myrthen cycle, with the collaboration of bass-baritone Damien Pass and pianist Alphonse Cemin for the B Records label.

Léa has collaborated regularly with Ensemble Cairn directed by Jérôme Combier, with Le Poème Harmonique conducted by Vincent Dumestre, and with guitarist and composer Marc Ducret on his Lady M project, which resulted in a recording released by Seven Songs records

This season, the singer can be seen on stage in Vimala Pons’ Honda Romance, notably at the Comédie de Genève and the Théâtre de l’Odéon in Paris, as well as in the new commissioned opera L’homme qui aimait les chiens, directed by Jacques Osinski at the Théâtre de Caen and Théâtre de l’Athénée in Paris.
