Lucie Chabard
Lucie discovered the harpsichord under the tutelage of Brice Sailly. She then went on to study at the Royal Academy of Music with the help of the Christopher Hogwood Scholarship, and then at the Conservatoire national Supérieur de Musique et de Danse in Paris, from which she graduated with the highest distinctions.
Lucie had the opportunity of learning from prominent harpsichordists such as Carole Cerasi, Pierre Hantaï, Elisabeth Joyé, Benjamin Alard.
As a soloist, she has mostly performed in France and England (Jeunes Talents, Festival Embaroquement Immédiat, Handel Hendrix House, Duke’s Hall). She is currently in a residency programme at the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris, and is a laureate of Fondation Royaumont. She also performs on fortepiano and clavichord. As a continuo player, she collaborates with renowned ensembles such as Clematis and Le Poème Harmonique.
She also co-founded Ensemble Théodora, with which she had the opportunity to perform in the Netherlands, Belgium, England, France and Switzerland. They are currently in the process of recording their first CD, focused on influences between France and the Germany at the end of the 17th century.
