Mariana Delgadillo Espinoza
A prize-winning choral and orchestral conductor at the 8th International Competition of Italy 2015, she was awarded first prize and special prize for her interpretation of early music, which she particularly enjoys. Equally passionate about experimentation and contemporary creation, she works alongside numerous composers and is dedicated to vocal, mixed and electroacoustic works.
Today, she leads a rich activity as a performer, researcher and teacher. As the artistic director, she coordinates and directs Alkymia’s various programmes, and is a regular guest with such ensembles as La Tempête, Amarillis, Spirito, the Angers-Nantes Opéra and Orchestre National des Pays de la Loire choirs, and the National Orchestra of Bolivia. She is also invited to give masterclasses, run workshops and work in prisons. Mariana Delgadillo Espinoza teaches choral conducting at the Conservatoire à rayonnement régional in Chalon-sur-Saône.
