Matylda Adamus studied in Italy, in the class of Roberto Trainini at the Conservatorio Claudio Monteverdi in Bolzano. She began her early music studies with Catherine Jones at the Conservatorio Felice Dall’Abaco in Verona. In 2022, she obtained her master’s degree in the historical cello class of Lucia Swarts at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague, with mention for her expressiveness and musical character manifested during her graduation recital.

Matylda regularly performs with the Orchestre des Champs-Élysées (led by Philippe Herreweghe) and the ensemble Le Concert des Nations (led by Jordi Savall). She also worked with orchestras such as Holland Baroque, Academia Montis Regalis (also as first cellist and soloist), Accademia Bizantina, {oh!} Orkiestra Historyczna, Theresia Orchestra and Jeune Orchestre del’Abbaye. In March 2022, she took part in a tour of the Orchestra of the Eighteenth Century, performing a solo in Beethoven’s Triple Concerto in C major.

She participated in recordings for Polish Radio, Alia Vox and Nuovo Suono. She gave concerts in such venues as Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Philharmonie de Paris, Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, Teatro Bibiena, Teatro Maggio Fiorentino and L’Auditori Barcelona, and at numerous festivals, playing in orchestras and chamber ensembles in France, Spain, Switzerland, Italy, Germany, the Netherlands and Austria, including at the Berlioz Festival, Festival Oude Muziek Utrecht, Alto Adige Festival, Trame Sonore, Milano Arte Musica, Festival de Saintes, Concerts d’été à St-Germain and Monteverdi Festival Cremona.
