Nicolas Kuntzelmann
Nicolas Kuntzelmann is a young countertenor from Savoie. After studying opera singing at the Annecy Conservatory in the class of Eva Kiss, he continued his training as a professional singer by specializing in early music. At the age of 20, he entered the CNSMD of Lyon in the early music singing class of Robert Expert and Anne Delafosse. In 2019, at the initiative of Benjamin Delale, he participated in the creation of the ensemble La Camerata Chromatica.
In recent years, he has sung under the direction of renowned conductors such as Paul Agnew, William Christie, Raphaël Pichon, Sebastien Daucé, Stephan MacLeod, François-Xavier Roth, Ludwig Wicki and Leonard Slatkin. He regularly performs with early music ensembles (Concerto Soave, La Chapelle Harmonique, Alkymia, Suonare e Cantare), and as a choir member and soloist both with the Les Arts Florissants ensemble and the Spirito choir directed by Nicole Corti.
In 2021 he won the 3rd prize in the International Baroque Singing Competition in Froville.
