{oh!} Orkiestra
The {oh!} Orkiestra, founded in 2012 by violinist Martyna Pastuszka, has quickly gained recognition as Poland’s leading orchestra specialising in historical performance. The ensemble has performed in some of Europe’s most prestigious concert halls, including Wigmore Hall, Theater an der Wien, Tchaikovsky Concert Hall in Moscow, Auditorium de l’Opéra de Dijon, Pierre Boulez Saal, and at renowned festivals such as Bachfest Leipzig, Händel-Festspiele Halle, Tage Alter Musik Regensburg, Dubrovnik Summer Festival, and the Ambronay Festival, among others.
The ensemble is dedicated to rediscovering forgotten Baroque opera repertoire, reviving works such as Alessandro nell’Indie and Gismondo, rè di Polonia by Leonardo Vinci, Il Venceslao by Antonio Caldara, and Arminio by Johann Adolf Hasse.
In 2022, the orchestra’s collaboration with the Misteria Paschalia festival proved highly fruitful, serving as the resident ensemble under the artistic direction of Martyna Pastuszka. That same year, they were also the resident ensemble of the Bayreuth Baroque Opera Festival. Since 2023, the orchestra has been regularly invited to the Evenings with Telemann festival at the palace in Pszczyna, where they perform as the resident ensemble with Martyna Pastuszka as director-in-residence.
Since 2018, the {oh!} Orkiestra has maintained a close partnership with the Fryderyk Chopin Institute. This collaboration led to an invitation to record the complete Mozart symphonies and explore various works from the Polish Classical and Romantic repertoire.
