Radosław Orawski
Radosław Orawski completed a Master’s degree with honours in the traverso flute class of Magdalena Pilch, Ph.D., and a bachelor's degree in the straight flute class of Marek Nahajowski, Ph.D., at the Academy of Music in Łódź. Currently he studies in the recorder class of Prof. Erik Bosgraaf and Katarzyna Czubek at the Academy of Music in Kraków.
He has taken part in many masterclasses given by prominent pedagogues such as Patrick Beuckels, Skip Sempé, Kate Clark, Georgia Browne, Corina Marti, Karolina Zych, Peter Frankenberg, Raphael Alpermann, Nicholas Parle, Katarzyna Drogosz, Stefan Plewniak, Henryk Kasperczak and Sirkka-Liisa Kaakinen-Pilch. He plays many types of transverse flutes and recorders, from Renaissance to 19th-century flap instruments.
As a chamber musician (Barque Ensemble, Alba del Mondo, Musica Perennis, La Viva Fiamma, fiocco barocco) and orchestral musician (Altberg Ensemble, Cappella Warmiensis Restituta, Das Lausitzer Barockensemble, Diletto), he has performed at many early music festivals in Poland and abroad.
He has won, among others, the 2nd place in the Maurizio Pratola International Early Music Competition in L’Aquila (Barque Ensemble) and two Musical Eagles during the 4th edition of the Music Eagles International Competition in the phonograph record (La Viva Fiamma) and chamber ensemble (Alba del Mondo) categories. Author of the Polish translation of August Eberhard Müller’s Elementarbuch für Flötenspieler (Primer for Flutists) (Łódź, 2023).
