Sara Águeda

Sara Águeda graduated from the Arturo Soria Conservatory in Madrid. In 2005, she started her career at the Compañía Nacional de Teatro Clásico as a stage musician for eight seasons, touring nationally and internationally. After discovering the two-order harp with Nuria Llopis, her taste for early music led her to the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya to complete her training with the harpist Mara Galassi. She regularly plays at the most important festivals in the world, in such prestigious venues such as the Konzerthaus in Vienna, philharmonic halls in Paris and Berlin, Auditorio Nacional de Música, Teatro Real de Madrid and Opera Royal de Versailles, among many others.

Apart from her career as a soloist, she collaborates with numerous groups dedicated to historical performance such as Música Ficta, La Capilla Jerónimo de Carrión, Música Alchemica, La Ritirata, La Grande Chapelle, Vandalia, Opera Omnia, Freiburger Barockorchester, Capella de Ministrers, Capella Sanctae Crucis, Le Poème Harmonique. 

She has participated in recording more than forty recordings for labels such as Glossa, Alpha, Harmonia Mundi, Panclassics, Warner, Dux. Un viaje a Nápoles, El teatro del arpa, Stravaganza and Im-Posibles (with the group Tañer) are her solo projects. Her new recording project Ellas Renacen is to be released soon.
