Tereza Zimková
Slovak soprano Tereza Zimková was born in Bratislava. She completed her studies at the Conservatory in Bratislava and the Janáček Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Brno. Tereza participated in numerous masterclasses with notable figures such as Kateřina Beranová, Ingeborg Danz, Margreet Honig, Kateřina Kňěžíková, Adam Plachetka or Pavol Breslik.
She collaborated with ensembles such as Il Cuorre Barocco, Solamente Naturali, Musica Aeterna, Ensemble Baroque, Victoria Ensemble, Musica Florea, Collegium 1704, Collegium Marianum, Ensemble Opera Diversa, Bamberger Symphoniker, Sinfonietta Cracovia, Moravian Philharmonic Orchestra Olomouc, Slovak Sinfonietta Žilina, Zlín Philharmonic, Brno Philharmonic, Czech Virtuosi or L’armonia Terrena. She has also performed with conductors: Helmuth Rilling, Rolf Beck, Leoš Svárovský, Jakub Klecker, Gabriela Tardonová, Marek Štryncl, Zdeněk Klauda, Tomáš Brauner, Zbyněk Müller, Tomáš Netopil and Václav Luks.
As a soloist and member of the vocal ensembles, she worked with the Chor der Bamberger Symphoniker, Chorakademie Lübeck or Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival Choir. In 2016, Tereza sang the soprano solo at the Chinese premiere of Johann Sebastian Bach’s St John Passion with the Slovak ensemble Solamente Naturali in Shanghai. In 2016, she became a finalist in the Antonín Dvořák International Singing Competition in Karlovy Vary. In the 2018/2019 and 2020/2021 seasons, she gave guest performances at the National Moravian-Silesian Theater in Ostrava. In 2019, she received an award for outstanding performance at the Kroměříž Summer Music Academy. In the 2019/2020 and 2020/2021 seasons, she was a member of the Opera Studio of the Slovak National Theater in Bratislava.
Tereza performed at many prestigious festivals, including Viva Musica!, St. Wenceslas Music Festival, Smetanova Litomyšl, Bachfest Leipzig, Rheingau Musik Festival and in various concert halls like Zaryadye in Moscow, La Seine Musicale in Paris, Auditorio nacional de Musica in Madrid, BOZAR in Brussels and Theater an der Wien.
Since 2019, she regularly collaborates with the Collegium 1704 and conductor Václav Luks. With this ensemble, she also participated in the recording of Rameau’s opera Les Boréades, which won the Trophées 2020 award in the best opera album category.
