Vojtěch Jakl is a Czech Baroque violinist, a graduate of the prestigious Schola Cantorum Basiliensis in the class of Prof. Amandine Beyer. He also studied at the Janáček Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Brno under the guidance of Lenka Torgersen and at the Prague Conservatory with Dagmar Zárubová and Jaroslav Foltýn. Throughout his studies, Vojtěch had the honor of participating in masterclasses led by renowned musicians such as Leila Shayegh, Jörg-Andreas Bötticher, René Jacobs, Lenka Torgersen, Jana Semerádová, John Holloway, Lucy van Dael, Ton Koopman, Patrick Cohën-Akenine, and others.

Vojtěch actively performs across Europe at prestigious venues and festivals, including Berliner Philharmonie, Kölner Philharmonie, BOZAR (Palais des Beaux-Arts) Brussels, as well as Bachfest Leipzig, Festival Oude Muziek Utrecht, Salzburger Festspiele, Prague Spring, Château de Versailles Spectacles, Resonanzen Festival Wien, London Early Music Festival, Quincena Musical de San Sebastián, Festival de Torroella de Montgrí, Samstamala Gregoriana, Concentus Moraviae festival, and many more. He has collaborated with acclaimed conductors such as Rudolf Lutz, Václav Luks, René Jacobs, Olivier Schneebeli, and soloists including Magdalena Kožená, Andreas Scholl, Philippe Jaroussky, Emőke Barath, Leila Shayegh, Xenia Löffler, Barbara Maria Willi, Hana Blažíková, Dagmar Šašková. He is an active member of ensembles such as Collegium 1704, Collegium Marianum, Ensemble Inégal, and Musica Florea. Vojtěch is also a founding member of the Basel ensemble Rýnský and the B3 Ensemble. In addition to playing the Baroque violin, he also specialises in Mediaeval fiddles and Renaissance violins as a member of La Morra (Corina Marti, Michał Gondko) and Ensemble Pampinea. 

Vojtěch has contributed to over two dozen CD recordings for respected labels such as Pentatone, Accent, Prospero, Ramée, Glossa, Chateau de Versailles Spectacles, Supraphon, ARTA, and others. In 2024, Vojtěch plans to release his debut solo CD featuring the first complete recording of 12 violin sonatas by Ignazio Albertini for the Italian label Da Vinci Publishing.
