Leandro Marziotte won the first prize at the Göttingen Händel Competition 2014 as countertenor soloist with the ensemble Radio Antiqua. Leandro has been also finalist of the first international countertenor competition in Lugano in 2011.

He has a Master degree in Baroque singing from the Royal Conservatoire The Hague and a Bachelor Diploma from the Conservatoire de Strasbourg. He studied with Michael Chance, Peter Kooij, Jill Feldman, Rita Dams, Françoise Kubler, Martin Gester and Michèle Ledroit.

 

Leandro performs regularly as a soloist with groups such as Cappella Mediterranea (dir. Leonardo García Alarcon), Le Poème Harmonique (dir. Vincent Dumestre), Ricercar Consort (dir. Philippe Pierlot), Ensemble Elyma (dir. Gabriel Garrido), Scherzi Musicali (dir. Nicolas Achten), Le Concert Étranger (dir. Itay Jedlin), Stuttgarter Barockorchester (dir. Jörg Halubek) and the Ensemble Caprice (dir. Matthias Maute).

 

He performed numerous roles in different opera productions such as Gluck’s Orfeo ed Euridice (Orfeo); Handel’s Serse (Arsamene), Orlando (Orlando), Agrippina (Ottone), Jephtha (Hamor), Deborah (Barak), and Rodrigo (Fernando); Dido and Aeneas (Sorceress) by Purcell; Orfeo (Pastore and Speranza) by Monteverdi, and Britten’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Oberon).

 

He recorded Bach cantatas for Harmonia Mundi with the ensemble Musicus Köln conducted by Christoph Spering. He took part in the world premiere recording, singing the title role of the opera Flavio Crispo from Heinichen with the Stuttgarter Barockorchester. For Arcana Label, he recorded a solo album with unpublished Baroque Neapolitan cantatas. We also participated in many important recordings, such as Handel’s opera Rodrigo uner the baton of Laurence Cummings.

 

He has performed in many prestigious theaters, such as Teatro Colón (Buenos Aires), Theatro Municipal (Rio de Janeiro), Teatro Solís (Montevideo), Anfiteatro Simón Bolivar (Mexico City), Auditorio Mario Laserna (bogota), Maison Symphonique (Montréal), Maison de la Radio (Paris), Chapelle Royale de Versailles, Victoria Hall (Geneva), Concertgebouw (Bruges), BOZAR (Brussels), De Doelen (Rotterdam), Kölner Philharmonie, ICE Kraków Cngres Centre and at the opera houses in Tours, Dijon, Liège, Magdeburg, Oldenburg, Halle and Göttingen, among others.
