Mariana Flores

Mariana Flores studied at the National University of Cuyo in Argentina and at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis. As a passionate interpreter of the Baroque repertoire, she regularly collaborates with artists such as Christina Pluhar, Teodor Currentzis, John Eliot Gardiner and Leonardo García Alarcón.

She performs on the most important international stages in major opera productions, oratorios and recitals. She performs regularly with Cappella Mediterranea and the Chœur de chambre de Namur. She has featured in numerous award-winning recordings, including Sigismondo d’India’s Lamenti & sospiri and Claudio Monteverdi’s L’Orfeo, both released in 2021. In 2022, the recording of Francesco Sacrati’s La finta pazza was released, on the occasion of a new European tour of this opera in which she had triumphed in the title role in 2019. She has also recorded a very personal album of Argentine folk songs with Quito Gato, to be released in 2023.
